For the month of June, we invite you to a creative writing and typography workshop to defend the inclusivity of our festive events while we come out of lockdown!
A two-day workshop has been planned:
Day 1: slogans
The 10th June, from 5pm until 8pm at La Grande Ourse.
The first day of the workshop will be led by Charlotte Couturier, a stage and vocal artist, a trainer in verbal expression, and a feminist militant. The subject of the workshop will be writing of funny and poetic slogans that aim to create a safe and inclusive atmosphere at the next Voix de Femmes festival (14th to 30th October 2021). Texts chosen by the participants will be used to help in writing the slogans.
What to bring:
- Comfortable clothes that allow you to breathe freely.
- An extract of a powerful text that personally moves you, a political manifesto and/or a poem. Around twenty lines, on paper. This text can also be written by you!
Day 2: posters
11th or 12th June – 9:30am until 4pm at the typography workshop.
For the second day of the workshop, Muriel Vanderborght will welcome us to her brand new workshop to initiate us into the world of typography. Choosing paper, designing posters and making visual variations of slogans with the help of presses. The posters made during the workshop will be used to decorate the venues of the next festival with your punchlines.
What to bring:
- Comfortable clothes that allow you to carry out the tasks
Don’t be too late, places are limited. And also: we missed you.
