Chaabi Habibi comes to Liège

The Chaabi Habibi project is led in Belgium by Belgian-Moroccan musician Laïla Amezian and the non-profit association HalfmOon , together a.o. with members of the group B'net Chaabi . The project explores the popular repertoires of Morocco carried by the women of the diaspora in Belgium, through a wide range of activities.

Several dates are planned until autumn 2023 in Liège!

Laboratoire Renversement(s)

Curieuse Résidence 2023: Well Done Lesbians!

The all-women members of this Reversal(s) Laboratory are actors, writers, playwrights, directors, producers.

They are joining forces this year during Curieuse Résidence (Curiosity Residency 2023) to conduct collective research on the possibility for a lesbian theatre: stories, acting, technical or production means, terms of restitution... the field is very wide, and furthermore joyful.

"L’Esprit Vieille" (“Her Old Spirit”) -as borrowed from artist Leonora Carrington’s delightful response she made to an admirer who would have liked to lock her up in eternal youth- opens the feature pages of the latest issue of Panthère Première magazine. We take “Her Old Spirit” with us on a weekend. In her company, we invite you to think about what is or will be a passage, a way of being in the world, for all of us. The programme includes a talk, an exhibition, and a writing workshop.

Maïté Minh Tâm Jeannolin

Our new resident is definitely curious. Based in Brussels, she has developed an artistic practice at the crossroads of dance (she studied at P.A.R.T.S.), performance, video, photography and arts programming. This year, we’ll support her on a writing project that borders on a documentary, fiction and performance: « Les Filles de Seolmundae Halmang » (Seolmundae Halmang’s Daughters - provisional title).

Artist, storyteller, performer, vocal improvisor, poetess, but also artistic co-directress of Dimanches du Conte (Storytelling Sundays) Brussels. Aline Hémagi Fernande is our Curious Resident 2021! In all its guises, her work is rooted in the oral tradition and contemporary forms of storytelling, influenced by the alternative scene, improvised music, and the convergence of struggles. And this year, a project fuelled by Love ... and Rebellion.

« On Pleasure » : online techno meditation by Lisa Vereertbrugghen

A techno meditation is a mix of techno classics with meditations that Lisa Vereertbrugghen finds online. Different variations of techno, some hard, some soft meet different kinds of meditation. With these dance-meditations she searches for ways in which these two practices can inter-act and inform our (dancing) bodies.
