"L’Esprit Vieille" or “Her Old Spirit” -as borrowed from artist Leonora Carrington’s delightful response she made to an admirer who would have liked to lock her up in eternal youth- opens the feature pages of the latest issue of Panthère Première magazine.
The West is witnessing the growth of its aging population and, in its wake, of inequalities: we are challenged to collectively reflect on this question. So, we take “Her Old Spirit” with us on a weekend. In her company, we invite you to think about what is or will be a passage, a way of being in the world for all of us. To confront our denials, our aspirations, our fears, our romantic visions and our critical minds with stories from different horizons.

Talk (in French) & Exhibition
Panthère Première is an independent, generalist and feminist journal of social criticism. With a few members of the team, we will discuss the feature pages inspired by “L'Esprit Vieille” (“Her Old Spirit”), which was published last fall.
And we will let ourselves be inspired by the original pages of "The Space Crone": a graphic adaptation of Ursula Le Guin's eponymous short story, created by Diane Etienne for Panthère Première and on show at La Grande Ourse until 15 June.

Creative Writing Workshop (in French)
Old body and old spirit: come and explore writing texts in which the old body is the hero! You’re welcome no matter your age (from 16 years old), your gender, your relationship to writing and to the French language. The workshop will be led by Panthère Première and Irène Kaufer.
